oh yay - my caps lock worked...

They're really a great bunch. The Dobies should get into rescue shortly, and I actually sent the Chow/Shar Pei off to a rescue last week, but I wanted to include her since she was so recent.

Those Dobes are HUGE!! Great furry family! Poor little blind kitty. :(

I see we have the same taste in books too! I LOVE Dean Koontz & Patricia Cornwell!

He's a lot bigger than she is, but they both are big seniors. He has one toe on the back leg, which makes him somewhat unique, I suppose.

You're right about the books - those two seem to be my favorites. I'm slowly moving to hardbacks on both authors. I also really like Sharyn McCrumb and will eventually go to hardbacks on her also as soon as I find one.

True crimes are another of my favorites, though I have few I actually plan on keeping. I constantly trade off with people at work.

Ok.

So I thought you were some freaky stalker from another forum because you knew what books I liked. BUT, being as bright as I am, I figured it out. ;)

But how did you know the cat is blind?

It looks like the eyeballs are missing.

You'd be suprised at how many people think his eyes are matted and they suggest I take him to the vet.

He was born without eyeballs. He came from some property local people own. The place is crawling with cats. They bring most of the ferals in to the pound, TNR some of them and are still fighting the overpopulation problem well over a year after buying the place.

Since many of the cats are Siamese mixes I wouldn't be too hesitant to say his problem could be a product of inbreeding.

Except for the lack of eyes, he seems in good working order otherwise.
