Why Lambie is a "Mini"...

Here she is playing with Jimmy, who is actually a bit over the "standard" for Aussies...

He's just about twice as big as she...

It was all going well, until Jimmy forgot he's neutered now and Lambie's spayed

Here's a pic of Libby out in the snow...just cuz...she's not fat, really, just fluffy!

I think she's either a mini or being a double-merle she is somehow defective. But I'd bet on her being a mini- apparently the area she came from, in CA, is known for it's BYB and puppy mills...

I know they tend to make different sounding noises, especially if they were born deaf or became so soon after like -I think- Lambie was, just like how people who are deaf tend to speak differently once they learn how...

Actually it's been interesting, we have two deafies now and both have the same "quality" of bark, that is, a regular dog goes "WOOF" with definition on the end, or "f" sound in the "woof". The two deafies don't have the "f" on the end so both are just kind of opening their mouths and making noise, almost like "Woa" or "Wow". It's hard to describe but I'm assuming both do it because they can't hear themselves.
But as for noise - neither of them let make LESS noise than other dogs and in fact Lambie can really set up a ruckus which she's really started doing again, when she is crated and doesn't want to be. Her voice is loud and has no rhyme or rhythm to it, it's just noise coming out!
