Hi,
Someone was kind enough to send a link to this site :)
I have 3 APBT. A female 11 years old.

We had lost are Boxer to cancer and our Dobie refused to eat after our boxer's death so in one summer we lost both are babies. My daughter told us about a rescue group. We contacted them and told them about our history with dogs. The women said " We don't usually adopt these dogs out but because of your history we would like you to come and see this 9 wk old female pit bull " That was 11 years ago and few months later we adopted a male.
We lost him last fall.
Fearing a repeat of what happen 11 years ago I got another pup before our female became lonely.
So we now have Phoebe 11 years young
Duddits 1 year old
and his half sister Sil 6 month old
I have had dogs all my life, usually large dogs but I can say in all honesty I never owned a dog like a APBT. They are the greatest dogs alive.
My daughter also has an APBT female 5 years old.
All my animals are spayed and neutered.

So sorry to hear about your losses - that must have been just traumatizing. :(
