Stupid Drivers

Everything that doesn't fit anywhere else!

Postby Big_Ant » January 24th, 2006, 5:34 pm

I can't believe some of the stupid drivers that were out on the roads this AM.

I start work at 9am. My commute is 1 hour and 20 minutes without traffic. Well everyone in SoCal knows that we've had wind advisories for the last two days, and all high profile trucks are urged to stay off the roads during these times. So this morning I'm travelling on the 91 Westbound, Wind Advisory in effect, and what do I find. A couple of overturned trucks, traffic up the wazooO!

I also happen to find a smaller Kia Type Vehicle overturned. It wasn't an accident, they just overturned in the winds. YOU'VE GOT TO BE PRETTY DAMN STUPID TO FLIP A SMALL VEHICLE BECAUSE OF WIND!!!

So All of the lanes are closed except one. Now this is a 4-5 lane highway, and they expect everyone to go through one of them because a couple vehicles flipped and had an accident even further ahead.

So to go the 20 miles that I needed to go until I got to the 55 freeway took me about 2 hours!!!

I arrive at work at 11am!!!!

A 4 F'in hour commute!!!

I can't believe the stupidity of drivers. Knuckle up, pay attention, get off your damn cell phone, use your blinker, drink some coffee, whatever, but get your freakin act together!!!!

Thank You for your time, Rant done -

We need one like that, but continues on into an ass-kicking.

Some dude in a huge Racing Trailer cut me off, I flashed my high beams, and he had the nerve to try and cuss me out from the rear view mirror. Must have thought I was a punk or something. I kindly told him that he could step out of his car and try that again, but he just kept on looking straight.

ok, so it turns out that in addition to all of the overturned trucks, the main cause of the entire backup was because a motorcyclist got on the Westbound Lanes going Eastbound. For those of you that are directionally challenged, that means he was going into traffic.

He hit a Nissan Altima Head-On, an explosion occurred, and he was thrown into a Semi.

Me and my boss looked up the intersection that he got on at, and it appears that he missed the first lane which is the entrance, and got onto the second, which is the exit.

The thing I don't get is how he didn't realize that the center divider was on his right side, and not his left.

So our assumption is that he was either drunk, or very very sleepy.

Ironically, my boss rides a motorcycle to work, so he had a pretty weirded out look on his face when he read the article.

um... I'm kinda doubting he lived through it.

there is a reason that cops, EMT's and doctors call them 'donor cycles'

I never heard "Donor Cycles" before. That is funny in a morbid way.

Yup. the most common motor cycle fatalities are males ages 18-24. That just happens to be the prime age for donor organs.

Nope, he didn't make it. DOA.

I would still like to find out if alcohol was involved, or what the story was.

A few years ago I had to bring my son to Scripps for an MRI. I was in San Diego for a week or so and driving was a NIGHTMARE I kid you not. Seattle is nothing compared to San Diego...people down there are insane. We literally prayed before we drove ANYwhere! :eekHair:

ok, a little detail that I found out.

The guy was thrown ON TOP OF A BIG RIG!!!

After hitting the Car, and the explosion, he was thrown all the way up onto the top of the truck.

ok, I have to bring this thing back up.

As some of you have probably seen. There is a huge fire in Orange County that closed down the toll roads, and is causing a huge backup.

So today I leave my house at 5:45am to go to work.

I just arrived!!! It's freaking 10am!!!

And . . . get this . . . this is the best part . . . seriously, you won't believe it.

I GOT REAR-ENDED!!!

Stupid @$$ lady dozed off and slammed into the back of me.

GEEEEZUZ I HATE PEOPLE!!!
