Putting on weight!? Chi Q!

This girl was on death row in California-same shelter as Lambkins! She is approximately 10-12 years of age(??)
She's here with us now and safe! But she's VERY THIN (hipbones, spine and ribs showing) She is dandruff-y too.
She loves to BEG so today I made her a "dog food pate sandwich", between a piece of whole wheat bread, and put some Nutrical on it too, and fed it to her by hand.
Any ideas for putting on a pound or two in a healthy way?
Oh, I forgot to add, she has only a few front teeth that need to be pulled, no molars at all, so kibble is out unless softened.

Marrick has some great wet foods. If they are still too much for her to chew, throw them in a blender with some water and make "soup"

I thought about that too. She's more interested in people food than dog food!
Do you notice the swelling on her neck? I think she may have something thyroid going on...

Merrick canned foods are AWESOME. I love the Wingaling. Mmmm... and the Grandma's pot pie and Turducken! Smells delicious!

I was actually thinking about getting some Merrick canned for my cat since he was having a hard time with the bones in raw. I figured out that it would be much cheaper if I just bought ground meat and used eggshells for calcium (along with the organ meat, yogurt, kelp, etc...). He loves it!

Thanks, I ended up getting 4 cans of Merrick today. When the Gerber's baby turkey is gone, we'll do the Merrick.
