Doesn't seem ..

Postby Emi » September 7th, 2006, 2:11 am

It just doesn't seem like it's been 40 years ago today Sept 7th since my father Pete passed away ...

He was a gentle man, a kind man, loved animals, loved his family and friends.

He'd been sick and had just gotten home from Iowa City from doing all kinds of test at the Medical center there. The last two Christmas he was alive he had spent in the hospital.

He had a freck gunning accident , my brother Paul had used the gun that weekend, and my Father took the gun out to clean it in the garage , and dropped the rifle and there was still a bullet in the gun.

He taught me to respect and love animals, when I was 3 years old he bought me a pony , taught me how to care for it , and feed it all that goes with it , his brother George owned a farm , and was still farming , we went out there every night to help my Uncle George to do the farm work.

I only have 7 years of fond memories of him to last me a life time.

Rest in Peace Joseph Paul (Pete) Potter Sr. you were truely loved and you are truely missed by all whom loved you and knew you ...

I'm sorry Emi, keep him alive in your heart.

My deepest sympathy Emi, on your loss. He sounds like a wonderful man sharing his love of animals with you.

Thank you every one.
You can say any foolish thing to a dog, and the dog will give you a look that says, 'Wow, you're right! I never would've thought of that!'
