It's a BEAGLE!

If it's a non-human, non-Pit Bull, family member, post it here!

Is it just me, or does everyone have a secret desire to have a Beagle!?

A Beagle doing what a Beagle does best!

Bathed 2x, and ears cleaned (will need a vet visit as I found a cheatgrass inside one), eyes wiped and ointmented, and deflea-ed, she'll get "the works kinda check up next week at the vet.

Could she be cuter if she tried!?

Our first family dog was a beagle named Toby. I love those little guys!

OMG Look at those eyes!! We used to have a beagle - also named Toby - weird. I love their voices. I hope she finds a good home soon. She looks like a sweetie.

Okay, you can't just ask that and NOT tell the story behind the question! :D

lol WELL...
It's like she has this thing about getting ON things! She climbed up on the couch then onto the TV tray and walked across it to get to me (on the next couch)
She goes BEHIND the bench we have sitting by our door (none of the dogs go back there), and up on some things (tools mostly don't ask me why they are there, they are hubbys) to get to the CAT TREE which she proceeds to walk across on it's lower level to get on the couch!!! Jumping up the regular way would be too "boring" I suppose!?
She also gets up in the window sill and stands with her paws and belly plastered against it when we go outside without her!
The one pic of her standing with her feet on the TV tray was like "Oh, that's cute, she's posing" but now it is apparent she kinda likes to climb up and walk across on rickety, non-stable things!
And then to get OFF the porch she slid down one of those exercise trampolines that's out there we keep around -its leaned up against the porch right now - for when my youngest girl needs to work off some energy. The steps would have been just too "regular" to use to get off the porch!? It's like she's devising an obstacle course around the house!

What a quirky habit for her to have!

what is a cheatgrass?

Beagles aren't my favorite dogs. My grandmother's dog snoopy would raid any house with in 2 miles that had a doggie door. He'd let himself in, open the cupboard and help himself to what ever he could reach.

My previous employers had two that they would bring into the office. Sophie and Winston ATE through a wall to get to my purse because I had gum in it!!!!

Them supersonic sniffers coupled with high food drive get them into trouble.

We had a cat at the shelter once that would NOT walk on the floors or the ground. She'd immediately puff up, hiss and climb what ever was near so she could get away from the floor.

Then we found out she was left in a basement that had water problems, so it would often flood. When the house was condemned, they found her down there walking on top of furniture and on the ledge around the inside of the basement.

High food drive doesn't even describe this girl, I guess it must be a hound thing because Copper's the same way!
lol at Snoopy raiding people's homes!!!!!!!!!!!

A cheat grass is like a grass seed. They call them foxtails.
http://extension.usu.edu/rangeplants/Gr ... tgrass.htm
When dry they sort of come off in pieces and can attach to a dog's fur or go in eyes, or ears, and if in ears can work themselves toward the eardrum and puncture it. They get between dogs' toes and work their way into the flesh. It is horrible stuff. :(
