ask the shelter first since they actually gave me a list of vets that participate in the free visit program. Or just call some vets and ask if they give free visit for shelter adopted dogs. Also I got 50% off of beginner training classes cause Rocky was a shelter dog. Only paid 40 bucks for 8 wks of lessons. That was nice. Always mention your dog was from a shelter because none of them asked I mentioned it and got the discount.
