Yes she did say this had to heal from the "inside out" and that the HP is to keep the wound open and draining. I can see how it works, too because it does get a bit "crusty" and dry in between HP applications.

Thanks so much...believe me, when we saw it the AM we took him for surgery, I thought he was not going to even MAKE it!! :shock:

Oh that had to be a horrible feeling. Thank goodness he is doing as well as he is doing. If it wasn't for you he may not have made it. Thank you for a great job!!

I'd say it's working really well - he pulled out the drain tube somehow today! :shock: I let him play out for a bit because he's going stir crazy in the crate, and I came back and there it lay...he's fine and it is still draining out the holes there - I'll call the vet tomorrow and let her know...
