Ok I know they are not very healthy or good for teeth. But its a habit I started before I knew any better. Rocky gets a buscuit piece for going into crate. It is only time he gets buscuit and stops to look at cookie jar before he crates. I was wondering if there is a better buscuit that can be purchased in mass quantities. inexpensive. What kind of cookies/buscuits do your dogs get?

I have used Old Mother Hubbard's Gimme a Kiss in the past.

I usually get the puppy-sized or toy sized ones so she just gets a little niblet of a treat.

Do you use a food dehydrator?

Mine get "Mother Nature" treats, buffalo stew is their favorite. They come from the same company that makes Cal Natural and Innova. Sidney eats the evo treats since she's on no-grain.

Oh, also, last Christmas I made some home-made dog cookies in the oven. Put them in little Christmas baggies and gave them to all my friend's doggies from Satin as a present. They were peanut butter, I think, I'll have to dig up the recipe.

No, I bake them but if I had one I would use it.

Ok the manufacture ones mentioned are they available at like small pet shops? There is a place in next town sells baked goods for dogs I should check there. Anyone have a good recipie for buiscuits or cookies?

Petsmart I know sells Old Mother Hubbard. I believe the other ones could probably be found at smaller-type specialty pet shops.

Oscar gets Medi-Cal ( canadian dog food company, sold through vet.'s) Medi-treats. They are made with some kind of coarse grain, apples, carrots, some other stuff, they are super crunchy and supposed to be fairly Hypo allergenic...

At Costco you can get natural dried chicken breasts 2 # for 12 bucks.It's natural pure protein,crunchy,and the dogs go crazy about them,and there is a lot in that bag!I used to use that,now we don't have treats,I only use Chew Hooves,and it's last for a long time.

I'm goinng to 2nd ParisStreet's EVO recommendation. Not only are they good to give a potentially alergetic dog, but both my dogs go crazy for them.

OH my Doc You just reminded me is EVO same as Evolve? cause I was in a local pet shop months ago and they gave me sample bag of buiscuits and dog food. I used the buiscuits have not opened dog food since it is only 1lb saving it for emergency.
