Thanks for all the replys and information guys. Sorry i didn't reply sooner, i was out riding all day. I don't see any white, yeasty stuff on his paws. They aren't very red either, he just is licking them more then he ever did.
I thought he was doing so good on the Royal Canin because his coat is super shiny, he isn't shedding quite so much and his stools are really firm. Maybe i was wrong....
I can try another food if you guys reccommend that. I am feeding Royal Canin Maxi Adult for large breeds. I wanted to get the Bulldog one but we don't have it here yet.

yeast can also show up as oily, reddish brown rust colored coating between the toes, or on the skin on the rest of the body.

sometimes a dog will get itchy feet if he has full anal glands as well, have you had those checked?

His feet sometimes look a little red but nothing major. No i haven't had his anal glands checked recently but i am pretty sure that they did it when he was neutured but that was almost 2 years ago. Should i have it checked again?

I think it might be a good idea, some people have to express their dog's almost monthly, so I hear...

Next time someone has to do this procedure could you make a photo illustrated document of it, it sure would help

your vet will most likely show you for free or for only a few dollars....

I think it'd be easiest learned if you saw it in person though

That's what happens with Venus. Bailey is the first one I've ever seen with white slime between her toes. :shock:

yeah, I think thats BAD infection! Have you checked her anal glands? I know my friends boxer got super sore paws with yellowy white goo that hardened in between her toes. They expressed her anal glands and cleaned up her toes and everything was good

everyone at my work hates expressing them.

I've never even tried on Oscar, but I have had them check once, they were empty, so I guess he empties his own...

I think I could donate the cash to have hers checked, though :lol3:

I think doing them wouldn't be so bad if it actually worked but when you've tried a few times on different dogs and nothing happens, you start to feel like you are just playing with dog buts. :shock:

Precisely. And then your dog looks at you funny for a few days. :shock:

Molly has BAD anal gland issues, and we can never manage to "express" them when she reeks so we just live with it for a few days now and again. :puke:

I think they could actually abscess if they're not expressed though.... sometimes they drain themselves and sometimes not...

once you smell the stuff SCL, you'll think its gross :shock:

Well Oz seems fine lately. He hasn't chewed his paws at all in the last few days and is only licking them occasionaly. He's going for his check up soon anyway so i'm going to wait til then for a vet check unless i see him contining to chew. Is it possible that if he walked on a lawn that was sprayed with pesticides it might make him chew his paws?
I'm on vacation from work this week so i will be with him all the time and i will watch and make sure that he's still not chewing. Thanks for all the advice.

contact reactions are entirely possible.

Don't forget school fields get sprayed with fertilizers too! Os broke out in hives from those once!

You could always try wiping his feet once a day with a little warm water, or maybe a little vinagre mixed in...
