APBT friendly states

This is where to talk about Pit Bulls!

Postby Patch O' Pits » January 29th, 2006, 8:53 pm

What are the most dog friendly no BSL States if there are any left out there that are totally non-BSL.

I'm thinking about moving to get more land and there really aren't many options in NJ.

So where are you from and what makes your state so great! Help

I found some great stuff in PA but don't know if that is where I want to be or not LOL

No issues down here in TX, pretty sure FL and GA are the same, Iwould avoid Louisianna like the plague though.

So ya know Pa is no BSL!

I'm not sure I want to be here anymore, either....I need someplace warmer, like South Carolina!

New York State actually has a law that declares local BSL statutes illegal. If you don't mind living in what is basically a mini-Socialist Republic, you might want to look over here.

The only BSL in Florida is in Dade (sp?) county. It already had a ban before the law was made for the state.

I don't think there is any BSL in NH but it's cool as a witch's titty in winter... Same with Maine.

Virginia is pretty pit bull friendly but I think they have BSL in Richmond. But land is pretty cheap out in the country away from the cities and Northern VA.

I think you should come to PA. You will like it. You got the 4 seasons, you got the good old PA dutchies! Perogies and lebanon Bologna. I like it here. I think most people that live here do...Just stay away from the big cities..... :)

Some things for you to find out before you move:

call town to make sure your dogs are allowed
call town to find out if there is a dog limit for homeowners – will 7 dogs be allowed or will you have to have a kennel license?
find out what homeowner insurance companies are in that state and make sure you call them to make sure they will allow your dogs. -even if you move to a non bsl state (like PA) insurance companies can have their own rules and not cover your dogs.
if you move out of state, just remember, the houses/land will probably be cheaper, but so will the cost of living and the salaries..
do you like snow? If not, then don’t move to the mountains..

Thanks! Yes, I have my list of things to check off. I honestly hate the cold but to have more land for the dogs I would deal with it LOL

I like the thought of Texas and being out west too though... Oh I hate decisions LOL

I may be going out to look at a house in New RingGold, Pa, anyone here of that good or bad?
