Solar - again - WA

Postby msvette2u » July 6th, 2006, 9:22 pm

Solar is in urgent need - his "foster" family (long story involving a DNA/DNR "rescue") needs to "get rid of" him.
If anyone is interested in fostering or adopting him, please PM me and I'll give you their information.

Ohh no that's the best part. She convinced this couple that he was a Hurricane Katrina dog (lol) and then brought him to their house (in the Uhaul, no less) and brought him in, said she was going back to the truck to get some dog food for them, and drove off and left him there. They have not heard or seen from her since!!!
I sure hope she's on everyone's DNA/DNR lists...

Yes he was dumped there - the guy told me a few mos ago when I "met" him on the phone that he'd never have taken Solar had he known he was not a Katrina dog :(

It is Solar's lucky day - he'll be placed. I'll update you with details soon.

If it goes as planned, he'll come here, I'll assess his "adoptability" and make sure he's still mentally in one piece Then he'll go to Kaye's and Barry's rescue.
However there's a rescue who has been working to place him for a few months, as some of you may know - the only problem, well two actually, apparently the Ipotential adoptive family) can't take him until August(???) and they already have a male greyhound.
Does anyone know if that type placement could work?
Jamie, how was he with other dogs? There was one "incident" that may have happened while at the "rescue", right?

OK I hooked Hugabull in BC up with Solar's current parents and they are going to transport him to Seattle the 22nd, and she'll pick him up and bring him to BC!

  I am so happy that they will take him. We are so full with taking in a young pup from Home At Last, I was relieved that Solar was going up there. He is so handsome. We had decided not to fly Charlie Mike back to Nevada. He is home, and is totally comfortable at the farm. So, another BIG knot head male was not really needed, but we certainly no longer wished for poor Solar to pay the price for his breed.

I know, Kaye - I was relieved you guys WOULD help but we all knew if something better was out there, we'd grab it. Solar's a lucky boy indeed, and he deserves it after all the crappy things he's been through!
