No, but I've watched dogs train for it, and watched the competition on tv! :|

I've only seen it on TV - looks like a ton of fun though! Never saw any pits though...

We joined a newly forming club in our local area with the hopes of competing with Kade or Dice but we didn't get very far.
Kade put the brakes on and refused to jump at our first competition. I guess the dock height was much bigger than what he was used to. Without a good place to train we had to give up :(

Bonus of having a lab: I've done it with Sacha...if I throw something off (a floating toy), she FLIES...no fear, nothing....she can jump and actually get about 15 feet out...

I would LOVE to do that with Maggie. She goes NUTS over water. She was trying to drag me into the RIVER the other day.

Many hunting labs (meaning of the American variety, which are taller, skinnier, etc) are trained to do dock diving, as well

I learned how to teach Sacha to do it by watching the competitions on TV

I think we're going to try using the agility jump on the dock and see if that gets them to launch better.

That would be fun. I'd love to see some pics of APBTs doing it. I'm trying to build Loki's love of the water. Last weekend, I was throwing sticks into the water, but if she had to go any deeper than her elbows, she'd just stand there and stare. (She had a rough intro to the water. She was playing on-lead with some other dogs in our club, and stepped off a drop-off and went under.)
