Orange Belt!

Postby msvette2u » June 29th, 2006, 1:41 am

Well I did it! I'm now an Orange belt (1st is white, then 2nd is gold, and 3rd is Orange) in Tae Kwon Do! I pretested last Saturday and belt Promotion was today!

Me with my belt (in my hand) and certificate, bowing to the instructor:

Me breaking the BLUE board (which is a higher board than my belt rank) That is an "axe kick"

Me with my orange belt on and my certificate.

And my son, who is an orange belt, breaking a BLACK board (which is a black belt rank board!)
Impressive!

THANKS Guys...Luvmyangels, isn't it great to be doing something like this? I really am enjoying the classes. I was SO ready to move on, my highest form had gotten *very* boring. LOL We are doing a demo for the town on Saturday - playing with "short sticks" and everything!
Good luck, tonight, too - you can do it!

I just signed up for a year last week since my 6 week trial was up. I am happy I will be moving to the next belt so quickly. The classes are great because you learn something you never knew before and when you leave you have a feeling of accomplishment. It is great for the mind, body and soul. I have lost a waist size and over 5 lbs already.

That should be so cool to do a demo for the town. I haven't used "short sticks" yet. Make sure to take pics and post them!!!! I wish you all the best of luck!!!

Thank you!! He did say it was beyond our belt rank but because it's a demo and we have to "show off" we'll be doing some very cool stuff. You're right, everytime I learn something new and master it, it's a great feeling of accomplishment. If not Tae Kwon Do, everyone should take up some sort of hobby or classes, and get out of the "rut" we tend to fall into!
