Hey all,
my name is Katya, and my dogs name is Sheba. I adopted her a bit over a year ago....well...I was so not planning to adopt her. I was just supposed to bring her across the state for one of the local rescue groups. But 8 hours in the car made us realize that this was ment to be I tried to fight the spell off for a few days, but it didn't work. So, my life was turned upside down. Within 3 weeks I was able to move out of my parents, find a place that allows dogs and fits my paycheck, accomodate the dog, realize that dog has some behaivoral issues, hire a behaivorist, almost break up with my mate because of the dog, etc, etc. It was insane, but we had each other
We all are doing great now. My mate and Sheba love each other, and we all live together. I did have to find a new job to fit Sheba's ever growing appetite for new collars, leashes, clothes, gourmet treats and groomers Her behaivoral problems were corrected. She still doesn't have a typical pit bull temperament (shy with strangers), but no agressions, and such a love bug once she learns that the person is not a threat. We are working with a different trainer now to teach her to cope with stress and relax more. So far so good.
Hmmm..what else...
In a free time we like to go on the bike rides or long walks. Our favorite walk is from San Francisco Baker Beach to Sausalito downtown (across the bridge). It is getting warmer, so hopefully we would add swimm8ing to the list of activities.
