Jesse is out of surgery

Food, Fitness and how to keep them healthy.

Postby Maryellen » June 27th, 2006, 2:49 pm

she went in this morning to have both her ears operated on due to middle ear infections..

per the vet, her right ear drum was ruptured. her left eardrum was fine.

due to her middle ear infections she needed to have this done.
she will be on baytril otic and sinotec as well to prevent reinfection and healing.. her inner ears are VERY inflammed, she has scarring buildup which the vet could only get out a small amount..

we are looking into allergy shots , the starter kit is $120 and is good for a couple of months with her going every week for shots.

the refill kit is $120 as well, the vet said we will get a kit for her air allergies only since i have the food ones pretty much under control.. she will get the shots once a week for a few weeks, then every 2 weeks, then every 3 weeks , etc...

Poor Jesse, but damn I feel bad for you too! That has to be frustrating - and expensive.
Good luck, and keep up the good fight!

Glad to hear she's feeling better and happy to be home! Poor Jesse, I hope this will clear up her poor ears.

And I'm sorry to hear about Sonny and the koi. Hope things look up after all this!

Scritches for Jesse, I hope she recovers quick and this surgery helps her.

Poor Jesse! Hopefully this surgery will be the jumping off point for a much more comfortable future.
