Springpole adventure with Special Ed

Post your pics and vids here.

Due to recent demands I broke out the camera and have some new photos of Crash to share. Our springpole isn't set up in the best of locations for great pictures but I managed to get a few that were not bad.

Our session started out with Crash giving me his typical "look". This is for those of you who have no idea how silly he can look!
Image

Preparing to launch takes some time the first time or two he jumps. The outcome is the same regardless of whether or not he tries to aim. He always misses so I don't know why he even bothers to try :|
Image

And he misses! Please note how suprised he appears to be.

Depth perception fails to work again

So this is not a good photo but remember when I said I did not understand why his back legs had no muscle? Well after looking at this I may just have my answer. What in the heck is he doing with that back leg? I don't think they are supposed to do that.
Image

A bird's eye view tells me that perhaps he'd be more sucessful at catching the rope if he'd actually look at it when jumping!
Image

Finally, he manages to latch on.

And he's quite happy playing the game even if he's no good at it :D

Hahahahahaha!! What a cutie. And yeah that back leg is apparently made out of silly putty. Strange.

I actually had tears in my eyes as I read your captions. My fave was: "Please note how surprised he appears to be." Great shots!

Is Crash the dog somebody had mentioned needed a safety helmet

I don't know, but he sure could use one! He's named Crash for a reason :) In his exhuberance he has a tendency to run head long into things, knock them over, etc. For instance he's tried multiple times to enter the back of the truck or Sportage while failing to realize that the door/tailgate is not open. His crate is stacked on top of the other crates in the kitchen and in his haste to enter the crate to recieve cookies or dinner he just blindly jumps. Sometimes the door is not open and sometimes he just misses and ends up on the stove. We recently built a new fenced in area in front of his pen and there is a small gap in between the fence and the outbuilding. In his happy ferver he's tried to charge out, missed the gate several times and lodged himself in the gap. Smart he is not and depth perception is a big challenge.

Chea please tell me that Trey is more coordinated at the springpole! Crash weighs in at 45 usually.

And just for you Demo :D
