Wierd Rear Leg Set Up (??)

For those of us that show or want to show our dogs.

Image of a show pup from Twizted Pitz Kennels...

I'm not looking to debate this kennel's practices, just the dog...I can't think of how to describe what I'm seeing so I was hoping you show folks could help. His back legs look funny...not angulation, but like they are "put on" too far back...like loaded shoulders, but rear legs instead...does that make sense? Does anyone else see it? Here's another:

What, you can't tell me anything about the dog? Sheesh. :D

Don't know what happened...it worked last night!

ETA: Just checked and I think their website is down, so here's a pic of the dog in question from game-dog...it's kind of an awkward picture (angle) but shows what I'm trying to get at fairly well...

And that didn't work either...works in preview though...WTH mate?

Okay well if your DYING to see him, go to game-dogs.com/forums, and check out the gallery of the member twiztedpitz...the first few pictures are of the dog in question, a rednosed male with cropped ears...

Completely OT, but I don't like that crop, at least from this angle. Looks like the poor boy has no ears. :|

It is a funky crop, and I noted that their other male is NOT cropped...so my assumption without knowing these folks is that either A: this boy was the first dog they ever had cropped and they ended up with an inexperienced vet or B: they had his ears cropped, didn't like it, and left the other male natural...

I don't know the dogs ages or really anything about the folks so other than those ideas off the top of my head I can't really reply to that. But yeah...it's not a trend with them...most likely just an oops one way or another.

JC:

Do you mean that the hind legs look longer then the front legs? Or look like they are too far back along the torso?

I mean that it looks like they are "put on" too far back on the torso...closer to the rear than the normal hip region I guess? I dunno...I could be totally off base but there's just something about his rear (lol) that looks funny.

It could also be (didn't check his history) that I've noticed game dogs tend to have a more frequent occurance of oddly long torsos (as they are not bred for LOOKS). Not sure if this is a selective trait that benefits them during fighting (more agility maybe?), but I had noticed...and maybe that just makes his rear look funny? Dunno. SOMEBODY has to see it too!!! (Not suggesting this guy is fought OR that he came from tested parents, but rather that he might have some game blood down the line...again I didn't check his ped so I don't know off the top of my head)

OK he's not that bad. The angle of the pic sux and makes him look wierd. The crop is ok in length the thing they didn't do it proper aftercare. They didn't stretch it and post it so the ears are folded over

Okay...does ANYONE see what I'm seeing? I mean it's not MAJOR, but it looks like his rear legs are set on too far back and almost low compared to a normal hip? It could be nothing at all...I wish I could explain it better and or somebody could see the difference and tell me it wasn't a big deal...

He's almost got a triangle thing going on back there, with the base facing his rear and the two sides, one down to his leg and one to his torso...and I've not seen that traditinally...could just be different musculature but he DOES have a different hip assembly than I'm used to seeing I swear!

Of course there is always the distinct possibility that I'm crazy. :|

ETA: Doing some searching...looks like Buck has the same rear triangle muscle thing going on...as did some Hartagold dogs...so maybe it's just something I'd not noticed before and was more pronounced in this dog. In which case, NEVERMIND. Crazy it is.

I think I know what you mean, Oscar has it (I think)

He is, in all honesty a "biker bred" pit bull, so I do understand what you mean. Its probable that some of his "extended family" and grandparents were fought (though I have no proof of this) and they definately weren't bred for looks!

here's a couple pics of him in a similar stance:

those are not the prettiest pictures of him....
