Purple wrote:Well, thank you all for your concern. Purple came home yesterday afternoon. She seems to be doing ok. She got up at 1am and was coughing, I got her some water, she had a little, and slept the rest of the night. True to form, her appetite is great. She was coughing a little this morning, but refused water. Should I be concerned? It seems to be a very dry cough.
A biopsy was sent out, we will get the results in 7-10 days....
And she needs to get a part time job......$643!!!!!
Remember she had a tube down her throat during surgery. It could be that her pipes are still a little dry. Keep an eye on her water intake, if she hasn't drank her usual amount by now I'd be worried. I know Cuddles will take water from a syringe when she's dehydrated. At the least it wets her mouth and throat. Might be worth a try.
Cuddles says tell Purple that's a baby vet bill LOL her record for a 2 day stay is $2500 with follow up labs every day for a week and a kennel with her name on it!
I wouldn't worry about the biopsy Bug had these things removed almost 2 years ago and one was a mast cell. The good thing is mast cell are pretty annoying but if the margins are removed they don't come back. She had surgery last year to remove a stomach tumor and is still kicking at almost 8. These bull breeds are tougher than old boot leather. She'll be fine.
