What a wonderful pitbull community!

My name is Sue and I reside in Southern California, City of Irvine. My wonderfu pit bull mix is Oscar.

I found Oscar 7 years ago. He was a grown stray wandering the USC campus. I would have never choosen a pit bull, but now, I would choose no other!

Oscar is inherently calm, intelligent, and friendly to all. I could not believe that this same dog was the "vicious pit bull" of public perception and so continuously maligned by the media. Oscar opened my eyes to the unjust characterization of this wonderful breed.

Thanks to Oscar, both my husband and I give time and funds to organizations that help rescue pit bulls and/or fight against breed-specific legislation. Currently, I volunteer for ROVERlution, a group that organizes Luv-a-Bully marches in protest of BSL.

Oscar continues to enrich our lives with his loving and joyful ways. We are forever grateful.

I'm in Irvine at this moment! (near Sand Canyon and Irvine Center Dr.)

I work here, but live in Moreno Valley.

Not too many people in Irvine own pit bulls from what I've seen, glad to see there is at least one.
