I can sympathize with you on the enforced rest. When Jack cut his toe off, after 2 days he was ready to play frisbee, and poor guy had to wait a whole month! Can you do training with him? Touch, watch, stay, and the 101 things to do with a box? Although he would need a lid .
2 paws in, 2 paws out, back paws in front paws out, one paw in, drop things in the box, etc.
I am sending a prayer out for him, to give him patience to heal.
