No kill shelter? I only know of one and it is a hole. they acutally have a dog that has lived in a shelter run for TWELVE YEARS.

Most transfer dogs to kill shelters or label dogs unadoptable so that they can lie and call themselves 'no kill'

No kill shelters are good in theory, but they don't always work in practice.

I thought town municipal shelters were usually kill shelters? Maybe it depends on the town.

At the municipal shelter where I used to volunteer, the ACO told everyone they were a no kill shelter when they weren't. Maybe he was trying to reassure the people that surrendered animals, I don't know...

No kill shelters just end up full of unadoptable dogs and turn away dozens more that could have been saved. I think it is one of those bleeding heart ideas which just does not work in reality.
