Hi everyone - my name is Shane. My fiance Tara and I now have 2 pit bulls.

Cabo, who is 4.5 years old and Toodie (who we just rescued from the Hartford pound 2 weeks ago) is about 6-7 months old.

I have to say that I started my virtual pit bull career over on SPBR. There were a lot of nice people over there. However, we have been lurking here for a while as well and figured it was time to register!

It seems that there is a lot of bad blood over at SPBR and I don't really want to be part of it. Nor do I want to start anything here by saying that as they are just my opinions.

I do recognize some familiar faces :) and hope to make some more pitbull friends!

Welcome! :)

So glad you adopted Toodie -- he reminds me of one of my dogs when he was young.

My mom. She worked for the humane society for a long time. We always had a 3 to 4 dog household and a couple of them were always pits :)

My fiance, Tara also grew up in a multi dog household - but she wasn't familiar with pits until she met me :) and that was...geez 9 years ago now...

I am 29 and she is 27.

We just bought our first home in Hebron, CT and we are getting ready to move in a couple of weeks. We can't wait, the new house is on 2.5 acres with a nice fenced in yard for the boys to romp in!

Welcome!

Hebron, huh? I drive through there several times a week on the way to my dad's house.

I'll be spending alot of time out there in late September, early October with the CT Renaissance Faire.

It's a nice area :) Love the eagle on the rock on Rt. 66

Hehe, our house is half mile past eagle rock :)

It is such a nice area! Not to be mean but I've been a New Britain guy almost my whole life - so the peace and privacy is going to be wonderful!

I am sure you will enjoy the peace and privacy - I envy you that out there.

When my oldest daughter graduates from High School, we're considering moving out that way or up to Maine.

Edited to add: You'll have to come check on the CT Renaissance Faire at the Hebron Fair Grounds this fall. Birdie (my pitbull in service dog training) is the official unofficial mascot and comes to the faire with me every day. She greets people at the front gate and helps sell T-shirts at closing gate.
