Keep your fingers and paws crossed....

Postby Maryellen » May 23rd, 2006, 8:09 pm

Arturo met a wonderful couple last night who applied for him, i did the reference checks, phone interview, and did the home visit last night with him.. They are going to do a foster to adopt for the next 4 weeks to see if it works out with him...

as soon as i get the foster agreement from the rescue he will make his trip almost an hour away(same county) to start his new foster to adopt trial period.......

poor jamie is already heartbroken and arturo hasnt even left yet......

even if it doesnt work out, it is great socialization for him... new places new people, new things.... the woman has her own fitness equipment business, so she would be taking arturo everywhere with her, which is great..

It's great that the new foster family is not put-off by his ankle issue, too. That says a lot about their character.

yep, i stressed his ankle, and they both dont care.. i told them everything about him, how he still needs to be socialized, etc, and they are very excited to take him everywhere etc...

alma, a foster to adopt gives the prospective people a chance to say, Test drive the dog.. see if everyone works out.. then, if it doesnt, the dog comes back to the original foster home.. they want to try him for a month, so i am fine with that...

I do too!! I think it's kinda cute that Jamie is upset. :) not that he is upset but that he has gotten so attached.

they changed his name to Mason, so i am thinking they are keeping him.. and he is responding to mason already... i told them they cant change his name unless they are going to adopt him 100%, so i guess that is the answer...
