Hi all.
I just wanted to post about our weekend up at K9-STS.
First off i wanted to say how great it was meeting a few of the members here.
Ellie & Nico - Youre doing a great job with that handsome boy of yours. What a team you are making and damn that boy of yours is cute. Very obedient, and VERY attentive to his momma.
SisMorphine & Halo - Your cubby boy is going to do great. Your skills and knowledge will bring him right along. I wish you guys the best of luck on your competitive obedience work. And although my opinion isnt worth crap and with my opinion and $1.50 MIGHT get you a cup of coffee and maybe some of the more experienced trainers on here could either elaborate on this or tell me to go jump off a bridge. I would like to see you up the intensity and excitement of your training a little. Your boy has a lot of ball drive that you can use to your advantage. And remeber your play sessions are best used as training sessions. If the dog sees obedience as play they are much more willing to work.
Hoyden (Eeehhh) & Birdie - If the two of us got together to train together with your "Eeeehhh" and my "No's" we would look like a reatarded episode of Jeopardy. How much your little girl remind me of my old female is outrageous. Thats why i had to love up on her sooooo much. Shes an adorable little girl that can do an amazing thing. Your very lucky to have her in your life and i wish you the best. Hopefully in the future ill have the chance to play with her again.
Chris and Rumble - You Bas#*rds You and your boy were great. The effort you put into that seminar was out of this world. High energy and entertaining. I personally learned tons. It was worth every penny spent. Rumble will always have a place in my heart as my first bruises and my first decoy work. That boy of yours is where i strive to have Cuda at in the future. Thanks for having us up there.
Megan - I cant forget you. THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! (did i miss a thank you?) You are truly on your way to being something great in the field. I wish i could have started and learned what youve learned at your age. To everyone out there in competitive training, Watch Out for this youngen shes going to be kicking even MORE ass in the future than she has ALREADY.
The other people there arent on this board and will probably never see this so in not going through the effort of typing anything to them. But in case you do it was nice meeting all of you.
Adios for now.
Bryan and Cuda
P.S. Anyone looking for some great training PLEASE go check out Chris and family up at K9-STS. His understanding of dog behaviors is humbling. And on top of that he's a humble man himself. The training was intense and fast paced but very clear and concise. Things are explained in a way that even if you dont understand the reasoning behind the behavior its put in form that even an idiot like myself can understand. I couldnt have asked for anything more from the weekend. The training and the laugh's are hard to find ANYWHERE.
