I can't even look at things like this any more. Why can't people keep their dogs on lead and monitor them when they are outside??? UUUGH

Why is it that AC is not out enforcing the leash laws and they take forever to respond to complaints if they even bother at all and if they do they rarely do anything at all any way.

it sucks. because the ACO's dont get paid enough, and there are only 1-2 per town.... i have 2 aco's here, at least they get out quick, but the pay is in the mid $30,000's , and alot of people cant live on that with only one salary...

as far as owners, they should be shot as well....

This stinks and it happened in same area. Whats too bad is that on the television it was 2 pit bulls attacking which is not exactly what happened and the correction will never be seen on TV.

Well, I called my local animal control twice about dogs roaming on my street. I left them a long message with my name and phone number. Never got a call back....

So when one of these dogs (one is a dog-aggressive, but human-friendly pit bull that always breaks out of its electric fence), attacks a person or pet, I will be there to say I TOLD YOU SO!

ACO = overworked/underpaid and often handcuffed by the very laws they are underpaid to enforce. It isn't their faults either, guys...

Oh I know that, believe me. I have worked closely with the ACO's in 2 CT towns.

But how hard is it to pick up the phone? Even if they can't make it out to investigate, at least call me back?

True - they ought to do that. I always tried to make contact when I worked. I hope you do hear back. If not give them a call. They may have just gotten busy :|

I'm hoping that is all. I had a situation with one of the ACO's I used to volunteer for (I can provide details if you are curious), and he has been spreading rumors about me. :( So they do know my name and where I live....

If I see the dogs loose again, I will call again. I haven't seen the dogs out lately. Maybe the little "chat" I had with the owners worked?
