winter boots? Ruff wear Polar trex

Everything that doesn't fit anywhere else!

A girl from the boutique at work got me into purchasing (to see it they fit well) a set of those boots: http://www.ruffwear.com/Barkn-Boots-Polar-Trex... They seem to fit properly, Iggy walks normally in the house with them (not Jack, who is used to muttluks). But I'm reading mixed reviews such as, not staying put in deep snow, and having snow in the cuffs (which is what I'd like to avoid since the muttluk cuffs end up having snowballs in them). Other people seem thrilled with them...

But I trust you guys, unlike than random people writing reviews! Anyone tried or know someone who's used those? The price is substantially bigger than muttluks (like 20$ extra, at cost price!) and I really would like to return the damn things (no return if worn outside!) if they're not worth it. Plus they look like moon boots a bit and I'll be ashamed to have my dog wear those unless they really are fantastic.

Somebody on another forum was also complaining about the snow in the cuff and coming off.

The Grip Trex boots are worn by a dog, owned by a guy who does youtube stuff on target shooting and outdoorsmen stuff, and takes his dog on 2-3 day hikes into the mountains - the dog wears them and he gives them a good review. He also has a couple other things from Ruffwear.

I know not the same boot, so not super helpful...

I was thinking of getting them (Grip Trex) for Oscar for traction on our slippery floors...
I can only please one person per day. Today is not your day, tomorrow doesn't look good either.
