So Buford's leg healed up really nicely. We did some physical therapy and acupuncture and he's feeling pretty good!
On Wednesday I took him to work and while we were all watching a movie at lunch I noticed a large lump on the bottom of his right foot between his toes. Once I started poking around more it was looking bigger and bigger. Doc aspirated it and under the microscope it didn't look like mast cell. We didn't send the slide in to the lab because the mass needs to be removed and we'll just send that in. Because it's one of my dogs, of course the mass is going to be difficult at best to remove. The location will once again potentially cause healing issues. Doc is pretty sure he'll be able to do it without removing any toes. We have consultation tomorrow with Dash's surgeon just to get a second opinion. I wonder if the laser surgery will be better for this particular mass removal. If Dr. Fry thinks the laser is the way to go and I can afford it, then he's prepared to do the surgery tomorrow.
Wish us luck......Poor Big B.

You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you know that you just aren't going to do anything productive for the rest of the day.
