Yappy Hour

Post your pics and vids here.

I have a friend who owns an upscale little dog boutique (which is actually craploads cheaper than normal pet stores) and once a month she holds a Yappy Hour. For $5, you get all the food, wine and/or beer you want, and you can bring your dog to play with others. All the money goes to a rescue group. I usually go without Inara, for obvious reasons. But it was gorgeous out tonight, and the last several Yappy Hours there had only been 4-5 dogs there. So I took Inara, planning to keep her on leash and stick to the outskirts. So of course about 15 dogs showed up tonight. But Inara did awesome! Within about 20 minutes she was working on just her flat collar, doing obedience and rally exercises. I only have a few pictures from the very beginning, but at least it's a few pics!

Massively offended that people going in and out of the salon next door weren't paying attention to her:

I am very jealous of the events you can go to. :(
I love her looking over the wall in the first picture with perky ears and then in the second like she was sad with droopy ears. Kinda like "look at me, look at me.... dang they didn't look at me" :)

hahahaha...nosey-pants!

I love the $5 yappy hour...our local store doesn't charge for theirs, and it's always overrun with dogs.

lol She does, Joyce!

Missy, I am fortunate in all the stuff I get to do with her. Cleveland and its surrounding areas have a ton of dog events going on pretty consistently, which is awesome.

The $5 is just to use it as a fundraiser for whichever rescue Pam wants to support that month. She pays for the pizza and drinks out of her own pocket. I think it would be busier if more people knew about it though - she's just so small that it's hard for her to compete with the 75 other pet stores within 10 miles.

Yeah, our pet store pays out of their pocket too...they have snacks and drinks. But they all cram into the small store and let the dogs off-leash...I'm surprpised no one has gotten hurt yet.

$5 might keep some people away...which would be nice...lol
