I think you will be wind safe at this point, from what I can see flooding is about the main issue and you seem to be high and dry. Although seems NJ caught a fairly bad hit. :(

Irene's Tree Removal Service - I just wish she had finished the job!!!

(200 year old Walnut tree. A previous owner of the house built a fire at the base, which caught the base of the tree on fire. The tree is more than half dead, and now, half on the ground!)

You're welcome, Shanna. :wave2:

My neighborhood just has twigs on the ground. I can take photos of them for you, Uncle Bob. :|

But my town has many trees down. 400,000+ on LI are without electricity. Water levels flooded houses and streets. It is a mess out there. :sad2:

One really good thing is that since Katrina, officials realized if you offer shelters for people to go to, you need to include their animals, or they won't go. I wouldn't leave without mine, that is for sure. We had over 20 shelters set up near me, and animals were welcome at most of them. They actually said, "no horses or snakes".

That's wonderful :)
We heard on the news that they were not accepting animals at the shelters >( I told Shanna that you would never leave them.

P.S. Glad your bushes were OK :neener:

Most of the shelters in our area were taking pets...many of them said ..."no exotic pets". lol. Only a few said "Service Dogs only". I told John I'd drop him and Bean off there, and stay at the animal only shelter with the rest of the pets.
