Please warn:

Everything that doesn't fit anywhere else!

Just would like to send a reminder out to people to warn their elderly loved ones NOT to fall for phone scammers.

Today, my niece Mary told me that she was at my Brother inlaw Owen's house, her dad, and some phone scammer called him while she was there saying that it was his grandson, and that he was in jail, that he'd been in a car wreck, and had broken his nose, and that is why he didn't sound right, and that he needed money in an hour.

And Owen thought it sounded like his grandson, and thought it was a real deal. Thank god Mary got on the other phone and knew it wasn't her nephew. And Owen wouldnt' believe her, he swore it was his Grandson, so Mary finally got Owen to hang up, and called David, and David called him back and assured him it was not him.

Thank god Mary was there.

So I called my other niece Angel to have her warn my brother Paul about the scam. And she told me that it is a scam right now going around the Dubuque/Davenport Iowa area, some other older couple got scammed out of $25,000.00. It's just so sad what this person is doing.

So please ya'll warn your elderly loved ones about scams like this.

Thanks Emi

Things like this make me hate people. What kind of person can take advantage of anybody, but especially elderly people? I'm glad your niece was there.
