Prayers and thoughts...

Everything that doesn't fit anywhere else!

Postby mnp13 » August 18th, 2011, 12:33 am

On of my best friends found out today that her mom's cancer is terminal, and they have told her she has three months; probably less, and should contact hospice. They are not seeking a second opinion because they "don't want to offend the doctors they currently see" (direct quote)

This is her third round with cancer, three years ago (about six months before my friend's wedding) they found out that her breast cancer had moved to her sternum and liver. This time it's in more bones, her lungs and has damaged her liver to the point of almost no function.

So, whatever you believe in, please send it their way.

With that amount of metastasis, I'm not sure a second opinion would really buy them anything, but you never know. Your friend, her mom, and you will be in my thoughts. Cancer is a brutal battle for all involved.

prayers and good thoughts for your friend and their family, and you also.
You can say any foolish thing to a dog, and the dog will give you a look that says, 'Wow, you're right! I never would've thought of that!'
