Sorry to hear that, but as that commercial says "I don't see an expiration date written on his foot."

Prayers on the way.

one of my Boss' most senior dogs lived for a couple years at least with severe kidney issues, so Michelle's comment fits perfectly.
If you have any questions I might be able to answer, let me know.

He's been doing really well, eating like a PIG...getting his sub-q fluids like a good boy...playing in the yard. He goes in this morning for his recheck...so we'll have a better idea of where we stand.

He's on a special kidney diet, and I thought he'd prefer the Royal Canin, it smells "meatier" and has a really soft texture. Nope...he prefers the rubbery, pale, weird-smelling Hill's K/D. Whatever works!

He got his blood drawn...we'll have the results in the next day or two. :D

I once had a patient that liked only the dark kibble from Beneful, so I ended up picking out all the dark kibbles so they would eat :|

He hasn't eaten in two days...I force fed him last night...and he woke me up with his coughing this morning (I'm guessing his CHF).

He's skin and bones, and very lethargic...

This has been so sudden.

He's got a vet appt. at 11 to see what we can do...hopefully new meds and stuff.
