It was like Inara went to the spa and got a pedi! And actually, the same price range as when I go. 8)

Glad she is home, because that is all that really matters in any dogs recovery.

pitbullmamaliz wrote:Well, I got my baby girl home finally. She had to stay at the vet a bit longer - anesthesia hits her hard so it took her a while to wake up. They did an intra-muscular anesthesia (I assume that's a general anesthesia type since she's totally groggy?), removed her wart and the skin tag on her elbow, clipped her nails and gave her a shot of amoxicillin. All for a whopping total of $48. And the vet cauterized the sites with silver nitrate (I think that's what they said) so there are no stitches and zero aftercare.

Inara is really groggy still - I had to help her in and out of the car, and into the house, and onto the bed. She's snoozing with her head on my foot, covered by a blankie. Thank you all for the good thoughts sent our way! The PBT powers worked again for an uneventful surgery!

Nicely done! Sounds like they used reversible sedation. We have a couple of different drugs we use where I work but they heavily sedate the dog [although depending on what you use sometimes the patient isn't completely out and can still pop up every now and then] and then they give a drug to reverse it. It's nice because it knocks them out enough to perform quick procedures and they can go home right away after waking up. Glad she did well! Also glad that it doesn't sound like she'll have to wear a cone or anything.

She was pretty groggy all evening last night - stumbling around and pretty much just sleeping. But now she's up and running around and playing with her toys. :D

Thanks for asking!

Well, since she's on raw her poops are pretty firm, so it probably doesn't feel good. Fortunately, because she's on raw, she only poops once a day and it's pretty small.

I'm giving her a bit more salmon oil than usual to help ease things along. :)
