Vet says it was a cyst that burst on its own and that was part of the cyst that was starting to harden. She said it was probably causing her discomfort. :( So the vet just pinched it off real quick (she's hardcore!), Inara jumped a foot in the air, and that was that. The vet wiped the blood off, Inara gave kisses to the tech, me and the vet, and that was that. I have to do warm compresses followed by neosporin for a few days.

Grand total - $12.

Holy Moly  She just pinched it off? Good girl Inara for handling that like a champ. Double yay for the price. How awsome is that. That is cool to know what it is. I would want to touch it but don't know if I could pinch it off real quick. :(

So we're going back to the vet on Monday evening 'cause she has ANOTHER hiney growth. :x This one looks different, more like a skin tag with a black tip. What is it with her ASS???

Well, Inara's newest growth is a wart. It's again causing her pain so the vet wants it off. I drop her off Wednesday morning to have surgery. :(

good thoughts! You might be able to get a doughnut instead of a cone for her...

 Yes, I realized today is Tuesday and yes I have quoted myself. 8) End of the year is overly exciting for teachers, and if it were Weds., it would be the last day of actual classes. :)

lol @ Joyce.

Thanks all! I know I shouldn't be overly worried - it's only costing $50 so I'm assuming they're just doing a sedative and a local. I wasn't thinking enough to ask last night, lol .

Malli, when I had Sophie, I tried a donut on her and that thing was worthless. Inara never bothered her stitches after her spay, even without a cone, so I'm hoping I can get away with no cone this time, too.

the doughnut works better for some things then others, and better for issues in some locations then others. I *have* heard good reviews :| But can't say I have experience...

Well, I got my baby girl home finally. She had to stay at the vet a bit longer - anesthesia hits her hard so it took her a while to wake up. They did an intra-muscular anesthesia (I assume that's a general anesthesia type since she's totally groggy?), removed her wart and the skin tag on her elbow, clipped her nails and gave her a shot of amoxicillin. All for a whopping total of $48. And the vet cauterized the sites with silver nitrate (I think that's what they said) so there are no stitches and zero aftercare.

Inara is really groggy still - I had to help her in and out of the car, and into the house, and onto the bed. She's snoozing with her head on my foot, covered by a blankie. Thank you all for the good thoughts sent our way! The PBT powers worked again for an uneventful surgery!
