No more Duke :(

Everything that doesn't fit anywhere else!

Postby Dukes_mom » June 3rd, 2011, 12:18 am

So last night Travis and I broke up. It was mutual so it's really been an ok break up. Yes I cried my eyes out, but it had to happen. We both weren't happy.

So in this break up I don't keep Duke. I'm moveing back in with my parents and they don't like pit bulls, plus their county makes you pay a big fine to keep one and I really don't have money to pay it. I'm more heart broken over that then the relationship break up. I love Duke and I wish I could take him with me. I've had him since he was a little puppy.

Well at least it's not an ugly break up, so I will get pictures of him on facebook. I will also miss my kitty cats, I might be takeing Sam and Max with me. I don't know yet, Travis and I haven't really talked about that yet.

I packed up all my stuff and now I'm just waiting on my parents to get here and move the stuff back to their house. Ugh that will be a busy day.

Well just thought I would let you all know.

Thanks :hug3:

Well we were just texting and he said I can come visit anytime and he will bring Duke to visit too. I will be sending him birthday and christmas presents too.

I'm just glad it isn't a messy break up.

I am very sorry! It doesn't matter if breakups are mutual or if one person decided it was best for them, it still hurts. :sad2: I hope you are able to move forward and find new happiness in your life. You are still young, so you will have a lot of new doors opening for you.

As for Duke, I am sure this is very difficult, but I think it is wonderful that you made the right decision for HIM. That shows how much you love him. :)

Make sure you continue to post on PBT! I would miss your posts, and I am not on facebook to find you.

Sending good thoughts as you transition your life. So sorry you couldn't keep Duke, that just adds to the heartache. :hug3:

Thanks everyone, I'm sure it will all hit me when I'm actually moved out. Which will be happening tomorrow afternoon.

I do get to keep my two fat cats, Max and Sam. They are both fixed so they won't be causeing any problems at my moms house. I love them, but I still wish I could take Duke :( But he will be ok here, plus it has been his home all his life. I just hope he gets to play fetch everyday still. If he doesn't get excersise he will turn into a big fatty like Missy and Stella.

Here are the two big fat cats I'm takeing with me
Here is Sam

And here is Max enjoying some wool

I've been told they probably have some Maine Coon in them. Which would explain their huge feet.

I think your two cats equal one dog in size. :giggle:

Good luck with your move! Stay positive!
