I started training this, but got tired of it...Xander sort of has the idea of it. His cue is me sticking my tongue out... lol

We literally spent maybe 20 minutes total on this trick. It's hard to click at the right time! :yum:

It's a hard one to click, and hard for the dogs to understand exactly...Xander was my best one. The others all thought I was clicking for more obvious physical things.

It cracks me up Erin that you are always training in the bathroom. I need to train Kinzyl to come into the bathroom first. :wink:

Yes! I do the same thing for Toby. He used to be terrified of going into the bathroom, because he was afraid of a bath. Now I take him there with me all the time and it's no big deal for him.

Lol! Mine won't let me go to the bathroom alone-- especially River. If I dare to take a shower without her keeping the bath mat warm, she stands outside the bathroom and paws the door. :crazy2:

I guess you could see the tongue flicks as teaching a manufactured calming signal. I'm think I'm finding that relaxed poses and calming signals on cue seem to be helpful during our classes...

(classes which were postponed yesterday because of the storms.

Call my princess weird.

but she doesn't mind going in for a bath but will not go in while I am in there. She will not go in the big master bath either. She stands at the door and looks, then turns around and goes and lays down not far away and waits. I guess she figures that Sammy is up my a** far enough that she will be content covering the outskirts for potential danger. :wink:
