animal assisted therapy

This is where to talk about Pit Bulls!

Meesha goes for her evaluation tomorrow Wednesday. I am actually nervous. They said if she doesn't pass they will allow her to test again after some more training provides what she doesn't pass on is not related to "agressive" behaviors or something like that..if she doesn't "leave it" they suggested traing more then retesting. I'll let everyone know how she does!!! Keep your fingers and paws crossed.

You will be fine. Good for you for doing therapy work with her. It will be very rewarding for both of you.

I would take her out before the test and get her really tired. I run Tallulah around the whole building before therapy, she is much easier going when tired!

Good luck!

But you know why Sukari was a 2nd timer? She was a licker. We had to work with her & make her understand that not everyone needs or wants a bath given to them by a dog who licks her own hiney.

well she passed with flying colors. THe women even talked to me for about 10 min. dangling a treat in Meeshas face and she didn't jump up in her lap (Meesha that is). But she did have long drips of drool becuase she was waiting patiently...LOL :D We will start scheduling her to go out next month and on the 29th they have a parade the group is walking. I'm very proud of my girl.!!!!!
