The training club I was at this past weekend uses these BRILLIANT, lightweight, super-modifiable barriers to cordon off areas for reactive dogs. I was asking about them, and they pointed me to a video they had made about how to make them. I thought I'd share it for those of you who teach group classes. Or they're light enough you could even take them out and use them in public areas as well.

I wish I had a place to hold group classes...I know some dogs that would have greatly benefited from these!

Thanks for sharing Liz! I've been trying to come up with good visual barriers for my classes and I think this would work great. I'm sending the link to my boss now.

So I forwarded this link to our trainer this morning... Apparently, she's Facebook friends with Posidog, and was actually working on making these barriers today! She was just telling me the other day that she needed to come into town to buy a bunch of plastic...

These barriers got some use in class last night-- they were so great!! Not only are they easy to move by a single person, but they are very quiet, which was an added bonus. And what was even better was that at the end of class, all the dogs were able to lay on their mats and relax with the barriers DOWN. :)

Oooh nice and cheap. I like it! We've always used x-pens or small sections of movable fencing (since the facilities I've worked at have always had those available) with sheets over them as barriers.

Our training facility uses something very similar (the material) but they've attached wooden bottoms to them so they stand. I like this idea better! These will take up MUCH less room to store.

We used them much more extensively last night and they remain fantastic!! The can be moved so easily and quietly, and since this is a class for cautious dogs, that's a huge bonus.
