Cairo and Dakota

If it's a non-human, non-Pit Bull, family member, post it here!

Today my sister and I went for a ride on a tree farm that has access to tons of logging roads. My sister belongs to a trail riding group and is going to host a ride there so she wanted to map out a fairly easy loop. We had a great time and it was nice to get OUT. The weather held out really well and didn't rain at all!

We had a BLAST! And then... the weather turned to crap :p I'm really glad we got to get out of the barn. Arena work isn't her favorite, and it isn't mine either hehe. It was nice to just let loose too, although I haven't ridden with my sister in a while and her horse is really slow hehe.

Thank you! She's going to be 19 this year and I've been trying to ride a lot more to get her ready for the summer... and also just to get her back into shape since she's getting older. I want her to be around for a while, I know she's not "ancient" yet, but I can't believe she's going to be 19!

Well, I see that your SISTER is smart enough to protect her noggin, where is YOUR helmet miss??? No excuses!!! I've had some serious riding accidents, including one that could have split my head wide open (head first onto pavement!)

Oh, and nice pictures, I'm very jealous! :)

I actually had a pretty serious fall myself - running down the beach, no helmet, stirrup broke on the cheap english saddle I was riding in and my head broke my fall. I wore my helmet for a long time afterward but I stopped. I guess my sister said trail riding is one of the most dangerous things people can do. There's really no reason why I don't wear it, and really I know I should. Thanks for the reminder

Sorry I missed this thread.

I LOVE the photos! Dakota is gorgeous, but alas, my heart belongs to Cairo. And WHEN was it I could have Cairo as my own??? :| You live in a beautiful place.
