I'm going to say maybe marginally better. She woke up at midnight to go out. I helped her out of the house and she hopped a little bit on her own, very short distances followed by long rest. I helped her to the door. She was able to hop through the door on her own. She wasn't in but a few minutes and wanted out again. Took her and she peed again. Same sequence. Again, she was in just a few minutes and wanted out. She went out and peed again. She laid down and I came in to get a cranberry pill for her. Went out to give it to her and couldn't find her. Went back in to get a flashlight. Found her across the yard laying down. I grabbed a lawn chair and watched. She struggled to get on her feet, but continued her tour of the yard. She went to the property line and started across the back. I moved the chair closer to the back and watched. She made her way to me with long rest periods in between hopping. I moved the chair up to the house, when she was ready to move from that resting place she was struggling to get up. I went and helped her up and with assistance she hopped to the right side property line to check out the ditch. She then laid in front of the driveway for the longest time. I finally went to put a leash on her and assist her in. We got to the back door and she laid down to rest while I opened it for her. She got up and made it in on her own. All of this took place from midnight until about 2AM.

Once she was back in bed, she wouldn't or couldn't sleep. I gently stroked the hip and leg, she wouldn't sleep. I finally sat on the floor and leaned across her and held her. At 3:30, she finally snuggled into my arm and went to sleep. I set the alarm for 5 so I could give her meds and feed her breakfast. I had to help her to the kitchen, out for a quick pee, and back to bed.

She gets an Adequan injection today, I may give it a few hours early to see if that makes a difference in her late afternoon outside time.

Thank you all for keeping us in your thoughts.

Trouble is considerably worse and for all practical purposes in immobile. I've talked with our vet this evening and she is scheduled for an evaluation tomorrow at 4:45. He continues to think it is arthritis, we are both thinking the cancer is back. Regardless of the cause, she can't get around on two left legs, and she isn't using the right rear leg at all. If there are no treatment options, we are prepared (or so we think) to set her free.

I'm taking off tomorrow to spend the day with her. We believe in PBT good thoughts, so if you have a few to spare, we'd welcome them.

We so appreciate your good thoughts, but we had to let our sweetheart go http://pitbulltalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=34778&start=20

The dog on the left in your avatar looks so much like Trouble. It brings a little smile when we see it.
