Everything that doesn't fit anywhere else!

I got a Mac! My laptop died this morning, a sudden, tragic death. Wouldn't even start. I am ridiculously reliant upon my computer and cannot do without, even for a short time. Went shopping and looked at both PC laptops and MacBooks. The MacBook was a bit more expensive, but for the power and reliability, I felt it was a safe bet. So I got a MacBook Pro, the model that just came out on THURSDAY. That's right, it's been out 2 days.

So...holy crap, I have a MAC! It feels weird, but I think I'm going to be really happy with it. I cannot get over the difference in speed between this and my 6 1/2 year old laptop that died. Just mind-blowing.

You'll get used to it really quickly. I was kind of pressed for cash when my last one died, so I got a PC laptop, but I have an iMac at work and MacBook Pro from work that I use for working form home.

I've always had Macs. My folks were in graphic design, so that's what we had even in the late '80s. I, too, drink the KoolAid from time to time.

I've thought about joining the Mac cult, but I don't think I ever could. They come with cool programs though.

Is it bad that I thought that too?

I've used both Mac's and PC's and like different things about each of them.
