Seth's new collar!

Post your pics and vids here.

Postby plebayo » January 27th, 2011, 12:26 am

Seth's collar mania collar FINALLY CAME! I've been waiting an entire month, I thought I was going to die :crazy2:

It kind of looks like a neck brace on him, I may have gotten a little over-zealous with the 2" choice, however, I like it and think it turned out fabulous regardless.

So we finally got home and I had a chance to take pictures, we just walked in the door and I told him to sit down which is hard to do when it's so exciting to be home!:

All of the sudden:

"has that fish tank always been there?"

And then I let him check it out:

The fish tank was moved like... 4 days ago, and apparently he just noticed it. You know, because it was really important at the time, more important than pictures.

I think he carries off the 2" quite well! Nice color choice and all...is it one of Lisa's new deluxe martingales? The Wiener was a tester for those...:)

Yes it is! I really like the design, morseso than I thought I would. It's nice that it can be worn just like a regular collar - I've never used a martingale style collar before, all the dogs who come into the clinic come in with the loop hanging and flopping all over the place. I know a lot of it has to do with proper fit, but I really like the design.

It suites him well. Touche' has a similar collar mania one. I love the bright green camo

Oscar can't wear the 2". I thought he could! We have a collar that he doesn't wear

I just ordered a 1.5" for my friend's Boston, and I think he'll be able to pull it off!

I wasn't sure where else to mention this but...

Seth doesn't like his collar! I took it off of him the other day to wash it and he shied away from it when I went to put it back on! It isn't that he doesn't like it going over his head - he likes having his new coat put on him, and I slip it over his head, I also put LiLo's old collar on him [having my friend make him a new collar that is only 1.5"] and I slipped her collar over his head and he wanted it on. In the past he has always LOVED having his collar put back on, he even LOVES his pinch collar because he knows he gets to work/gets lots of food and attention. I think the 2" is too wide/kind of uncomfortable, I really like it on him so it'll be his 'going out' collar, but not his full time collar. I'm so bummed!

:| Is is too itchy inside? Does it "clank" somehow with metal against metal? Or is he just a being a dork?

:(

We have one particular harness that River really hates. I thought she walked a little better on it, but she shies away from putting it on, and then she's one big calming signal until I take it off-- sniffing constantly, looking away, tongue flicking. But the Sporn/Yuppie Puppy harness that looks to me like it would the uncomfortable one, she not only sits politely to have it put on, but helps out, giving me one paw at a time. Who knows why they hate one over another. :|

No clanking since it has the special keeper that keeps the loop up and the inside is lined with like a strip of satin. I think he's being a dork. I really think that it might be too thick for his neck and it's uncomfortable. One of my coworkers said maybe it makes it hard for him to reach his pee-pee and he doesn't like it :neener:

That is exactly how Seth is! I mean, he tolerates the collar once it's on, I mean, he has had to tolerate it this whole time. But he definitely doesn't like having it put it.

Thank you!

I really like it on him but he straight up does not want it on. I tried putting the CM one on him and he kept moving his head around, I put his new collar on and he stuck his head right through the hole.

I mean, he's going to have to wear the 2" sometimes, he'll just have to suffer, but I've never seen him actually have an aversion to something before like that!
