Stuff to do in Richmond, VA??

Everything that doesn't fit anywhere else!

Postby furever_pit » January 27th, 2011, 12:43 am

I am going to Richmond this weekend. Don't really know what's there but have heard it is a pretty cool city.
Does anyone have any suggestions for restaurants, shops, other cool places I should check out?
Pretty scenic views?
Nice places to take the pups for walks or whatnot?

Thanks!

I live about 30 or so minutes North of Richmond... And I've lived here for a little over four years now and still haven't really done anything down there. Only thing I've done down there is go to a race once and a few hockey games. so, if you figure something out, let me know.... One of these days I'll actually get my husband to go down there with me and do something, lol.

You going to be by yourself or what? Because you're only about an hour and a half or so from DC.

I'm meeting up with a buddy to work some dogs. He's not from Richmond either so we're flying pretty blind.
I'd rather not drive all the way to DC when I am supposed to be available for the dogs. So I think we're just gonna stick to Richmond.

Hopefully I will find some killer restaurants for your hubby to take you to!

Gotcha! Just an idea but completely understandable. Hopefully the weather will be somewhat 'nice' for you to atleast enjoy some of it, too.

Just drive a couple of hours north, and you could play with puppies! ;)

heehee. Not this weekend.
Sometime when I am on my way through MD I'd love to come see your crew. Maybe I could even see some flyball? I travel a ton so if you really want to I'm sure we could work it out.

No plans yet...but we've got our eye on a few tournies. Depends on how things shake out this spring in terms of tournaments and cash flow. ;)
