Swollen lymph nodes...

Food, Fitness and how to keep them healthy.

Postby TheRedQueen » January 25th, 2011, 6:00 pm

Not great news at the vet this morning. Ol' Man Rip's lymph nodes are swollen...we fear lymphoma. Bloodwork, needle aspirations and urinalysis due later this week. *sniffle* :( I won't put this in the cancer section yet...as I can still hold out that little tiny bit of hope that something else is causing this...

We have had too much cancer on this board lately. I REFUSE to let it be lymphoma. >(

And here's a recent pic of the old man...he was out there today, running around like a fool, trying to bite Score...acting like his bad self.

Lots of good thoughts for Ripley. As they age, they can scare the pejeebers out of you.

It isn't time to panic until you know exactly what you are dealing with. He looks great!

Oh Ripley. Be ok.
I think we've reached our lymphoma quota lately, anyway. So there's just no allowing that anymore.

Good news from the vet...no cancer! He's just got some fatty deposits, everything is clear. Renal values were slightly elevated, T4 was slightly low...but everything else looked good.

I was trying to write all of this down when she called...and all I could think was "NO LYMPHOMA" and I didn't get it all down right...so when I head in this afternoon with puppies, I'll get more details. lol
