Every day will get better, and yep they will lay in positions that will make you cringe..it's okay.

I'm pretty sure a lot of the vocalization you were hearing was the anesthesia..doesn't make it any the less heartbreaking though.

Last night was a little better. He isn't moaning as much when he repositions himself. He has gotten very cuddly, which he does when he is either in trouble or upset. He pushes my hand with his head to rub his chin and tries to sit on my lap while I am next to him on his twin bed.

Compared to Darlene's (one of hers had mensicus replaced) he isn't really black and blue much. Just one spot.

The positions he gets in just make me cringe. I probably never told you, but other than put in the position of taking care of my dogs, I am a FAINTER. :doh:

I seem to be okay when I am dealing with the dogs, but when I saw the drops of blood the other night, I almost lost it. As in unconscious.

Eating normal amounts and drinking water offered in a bowl.

I'm glad he's feeling a bit better, the first couple of days after surgery can be pretty rough but hopefully he'll get less sore and be able to feel even more comfortable soon.

I haven't fainted looking at it, so that is a good thing. :dance:

I love how his leg was shaved like a lion. :giggle:

Wow... that actually looks good. They did a great job stitching him up.

What's the plan for his recovery? PT?

Yes...I follow the walking and stretching plan my Vet has given me.

Honestly, neither of my other two had PT so Truman will do fine just following the rules I have. And you all know I follow rules. :dance:

I don't think there is glue there, but I will ask.

Oh, and the highlight of my day was when he pooped. :clap:

Poop is good...very good! Yay for poop.

With Doogies surgery we didn't need any PT...just increased the walking and the type of walking as he continued healing.

Glad to hear the Pony is feeling a little better. That incision site looks awsome, hardly any discoloration at all and not too swollen.

Oh, and the highlight of my day was when he pooped.

This cracks me up! Every client seems to overly concerned with pooping and I can't for the life of me figure out why.
