As always, very cool video.

Question: I've noticed that right before Rumble disengages and goes back to you, the target (I'm sorry, can't think of the right word right now) stops fighting back. Were the target to continue fighting, would Rumble still disengage? Or is he trained to go until the subject is subdued?

A dog with good training will do as it has been taught. In this specific case the excercises in these sports are designed to have the decoy stop opposing the dog once his name and the cessation command ("out") has been ordered.

Outside of the training and decoy exercises, in a real-world situation would Rumble keep fighting to subdue an attacker until called off, or would he continue until the attacker no longer posed a threat? I assume he would do as his training dictates, but I'm wondering how much of Rumble's own "decision" comes into play in a real-world situation. If you were incapacitated by the attacker, would he "finish the job"?

Personally, I'd like to see him completely incapacitate an attacker, but I'm bloodthirsty that way, LOL.

Awesome video!

to answer that question. Rumble is under control cause he does what he is told to, that is while performing a sport activity. Before, converting this dog to sports he was str8 up street dog. You would not imagine the amount of drive he has, this something you have in person not by some video. You see Mr. Chris shows you the finish product, But this dog loves to do what it does, that is bite...lol... and that is what I love about him...

O.k., this may be a dumb question, but that guy's stick never makes contact with the dog, does it??

A question that isn't ask is a dumb question. Usually the baton does come in contact with with the dog as form to provide enviromental pressure. Now, why the question?

They're not getting beat with it :) Just more of a tapping/pressure type situation . . . a distraction. No one walks away with welts . . . or hurt feelings.

Then why is it? That's what I always thought? Distraction, pressure . . .

Ok I have one, Why would anyone pick a breed that has been bred for hundreds of years not to be human aggressive to do this type of work?

I will never understand this, please help me to understand, why not a breed that was bred for this kind of work?

Please don't think I'm trying to start trouble as I'm not, I'm just trying to understand why the APBT?

Marty, I personally agree and have mentioned this before. You are not alone in this line of thought.

I have read about dogs who where injured and one that was killed due to inexpirienced decoys. :(
