A little intriguing...

This is where to talk about Pit Bulls!

for us, anyway.

We may have met one of Robin's littermates. There's a lot of speculation involved, but it's certainly interesting. :?

We found Robin running loose as a stray. We tried to find an owner, but no dice. That was almost a year ago, and the vet put her age at about a year. Her coloring is a little unusual-- her black spots are small; there's no big patches of color, just 2 smallish but substantial spots (one on her eye and one at the base of her tail) and then lots and lots of little tiny spots, almost like a Dalmatian, all over her.

A few months ago, I saw a guy walking in a neighborhood near ours with a little white pit with 2 black spots, one on each eye, and all the teeny black spots all over her. The big difference was super cute bat ears. She saw me watching her, and she stiffened up and woofed under her breath like Robin does when she sees someone staring at her.

Fast forward... my husband met the owner and has since met the dog. Turns out that dog came from a backyard litter near our house (momma dog white, papa dog black). There were a ton of pups in the litter and they went to all sorts of homes. :| Sounded like they were an accidental litter. At any rate, talking to her owner, it turns out his dog is about the same age, and has the very same skittish but sweet temperament. She reacted to my husband just like Robin reacts to strangers and uncertain situations. They both have that unusual coloring and came from the same neighborhood.

Might be a total coincidence, but it does make you wonder. Robin met the guy today and she was so sweet to him. She and the other dog really do look alike in the face, as well.

Just thought it was kinda neat, considering how little we know about her.

I haven't seen her since that first time. The owner is working with my husband now, and sometimes has the dog with him, I guess, so I'm going to make him get pictures next time!
