Rocky

Postby Sariss » May 11th, 2006, 8:12 pm

I just got a phonecall from my aunt who lives in Vancouver. Her Shar Pei Rocky only has a few weeks left to live. :(

He's about 5-6 years old. She got him from a Shar Pei rescue, he was living with a homeless woman on the streets of Vancouver. He had horrible allergies, and ended up developing a curable Cushings disease from steroids used to calm his itching.
He managed to get over Cushings a few months ago, but then they started to see tumours. Some were cancerous, some weren't. Today she took Rocky in for an xray, and his lungs are completely filled with cancer. :( The vet gives him two weeks.
My aunt will be keeping him as comfortable as she can until he passes. Keep him in your thoughts.

Sending some prayers that she is able to heal from the loss and that the time he has left is happy for them both
